For over twenty-five years, Seán Sanford has served as a social sector leader, consultant, mentor, and coach. In addition to serving as principal of SPS Coaching & Consulting, he serves as director of Leadership and Young Adult Programs for the USA East Province of the Jesuits. He is a member of the Executive Coaching team at Harvard Business School.

Seán has coached talented executives on four continents, from regional nonprofits to Fortune 5 corporations, helping them to become more effective leaders and achieve personal and professional fulfillment. In his role with the Jesuits, he developed an umbrella initiative that serves over 3000 people in 22 states, Canada, Kenya, the Philippines, and Egypt. Seán has served as a trustee and adviser at several nonprofit organizations and educational institutions, is the founder and president emeritus of the Center for FaithJustice, and founder and chairman of the Two Hawks Foundation. Seán is proud to be an inaugural board member of the Lead To Change Foundation..

A graduate of St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, Seán is the recipient of the University’s Ignatius Award and served as president of the National Alumni Association, representing over 95,000 alumni. His graduate research included work in philosophy, theology, history, and anthropology. He recently completed the Executive Leadership Coaching program at Georgetown’s Institute for Transformational Leadership.

Passionate about effective leadership, helping people flourish, and positive social impact, Seán brings humor, curiosity, and insight from a variety of disciplines and life experiences to his coaching. He holds dual U.S. and Irish citizenship and enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, live music, horticulture, and travel. He lives on a small farm in New Jersey with his wife, Jennifer, and an assortment of animals, including a very, very old dog.
